Terms of Service

Last updated: 3 August 2026

TL;DR

Clipsie publishes clips to the accounts you connect. You're responsible for having the right to use and post the content you run through it, and for following the rules of the platforms you connect. Misuse can get your account suspended.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Clipsie, a service operated by Yari Eugster (Switzerland) ("Clipsie", "we", "us"). Full provider details are in our Impressum. By creating an account or using clipsie.app, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

Our Privacy Policy and our Data Processing Agreement form part of these Terms. The DPA applies automatically where we process personal data on your behalf — you don't need to sign it separately.

What Clipsie does

Clipsie is an automation tool that detects clip-worthy moments from streams you connect, reformats them into short-form videos, and publishes them to the third-party accounts (such as YouTube and TikTok) that you authorize. Clipsie acts on your instructions and on your behalf.

Your account

You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live). You are responsible for activity under your account.

Content rights and your responsibilities

Clipsie does not select what you are entitled to publish. You do. You represent and warrant that, for any content you process or publish through Clipsie, you have all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to do so, and that doing so does not infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.

You are solely responsible for the channels you connect and the content you choose to clip and post. You agree not to use Clipsie to publish content you do not have the right to distribute.

Platform compliance

When you connect a third-party platform, you also agree to that platform's terms, and you authorize Clipsie to act within them on your behalf. This includes, where applicable:

You must not use Clipsie in any way that violates those platforms' rules. We may suspend features or accounts to remain compliant with a platform.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Clipsie to: infringe intellectual property or other rights; publish unlawful, harassing, hateful, or deceptive content; impersonate others; circumvent platform rate limits or policies; or attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service.

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe content published through Clipsie infringes your rights, send a notice to dmca@clipsie.app with enough detail to identify the content and your rights in it. We will respond to valid notices, may remove or disable the content, and will terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.

Billing

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account; cancellation stops future charges and takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. It does not refund the current period unless the law requires it — see section 08 if you are an EU or EEA consumer.

Prices shown to consumers include any applicable VAT; prices shown to business customers may be quoted net, with tax stated separately before you confirm. Where we are required to collect VAT in your country, it is calculated at your place of residence and shown before payment. We may change pricing, but not for a period you have already paid for, and we will give you notice before a change takes effect so you can cancel first.

Right of withdrawal (EU/EEA consumers)

This section applies if you are a consumer resident in the European Union or EEA — that is, you are buying for purposes outside your trade or profession. It does not apply to business customers. Switzerland does not provide a statutory right of withdrawal for contracts concluded online, so it does not apply to Swiss consumers either.

You have the right to withdraw from your contract with us within 14 days without giving any reason. The period runs from the day the contract is concluded.

How to withdraw. Tell us clearly, before the 14 days are up, that you are withdrawing — an email to legal@clipsie.app saying so is enough. You may use the model withdrawal form from Annex I(B) of Directive 2011/83/EU, but you do not have to. Sending your message before the deadline expires is sufficient; it does not have to reach us within the period.

Starting the service during the withdrawal period. Clipsie begins working for you as soon as you connect a channel. By starting to use the service within the 14 days, you expressly request that we begin performance before the withdrawal period ends. You keep your right to withdraw, but if you do withdraw after we have started, you owe us a proportionate amount for the service actually supplied up to the moment you told us — calculated against the full price of the period. We refund everything else.

Effects of withdrawal. We refund all payments received from you, less any proportionate amount as described above, without undue delay and at the latest within 14 days of being told. We use the same payment method you used, and the refund costs you nothing.

Service availability

We work to keep Clipsie running reliably, but the service is provided "as is" without warranties. Third-party platforms may change or restrict their APIs, which can affect functionality outside our control.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Clipsie is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, revenue, or platform access. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Termination

You may stop using Clipsie and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, misuse the service, or to comply with a platform or the law. On termination we delete your connected-account tokens as described in our Privacy Policy.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence still apply.

Changes

We may update these Terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, communicated to you. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
